Busy, Busy, Busy!

Guess what – we are all “busy”. We all have different definitions of what “busy” means to us. This is where prioritizing comes into play! There is someone out there MUCH MORE busy than you are that is still finding the time in their day to exercise and work towards their goals. This is what keeps me going. Yes, I am a busy, working mom. However-I’ve prioritized things in my life so that I MAKE time for everything that is important to me, such as My Health, My Relationships, My Work, and My Goals! Sure, I could give up on a lot of these things, but I wouldn’t be as happy as I am today. I do have a packed schedule, but I enjoy it! I have the most amazing little guy cheering me on every single day, too. This helps 🙂

I am so incredibly lucky to be able to train with the amazing group of women in my gym. We are all doing shows and can definitely relate to what each other is going through! They are the most motivating women – all very driven – cheering each other on during tough workouts – encouraging each other with compliments – we all genuinely want each other to succeed. It’s nice to have that kind of support! So a big, huge THANK YOU to those ladies…I couldn’t do it without you.

Alright – so down to the important stuff…how am I progressing? WELL….


It’s been 1 month – I am down 2.42% Body Fat. I’ve gained 2.11 lbs of MUSCLE and I’ve lost 3.11 lbs of Fat (yuck). This is phenomenal! Slow and steady progress. This is perfect! Another big, huge thank you to J.R. at Elite Nutrition for keeping me on track. I thought he was crazy telling me I’d be eating close to 3,000 calories a day! Well – it’s working! When you fuel your body with GOOD nutrition, your body responds! I was thinking the other day that I hated this diet SO much, and really getting down about it. But then, I decided to think about it a little differently. I love my son so much and care about his health. I only feed him the most nutritious organic foods. I do not fill his body with useless calories, sugar, and bad fat! Why? Because I love him and want him to feel good and be healthy! So why is it that when it comes to OURSELVES – we just don’t seem to care? This way of thinking made me start to care! Yes, my diet is a little bland and boring, but I feel amazing, energized, and well – look at the results I’m getting 🙂 So…while I may miss out on some of my favorite indulgences – I know I am doing my body a favor. Cheers to chicken, sweet potatoes, and green beans!
